I'm like having the biggest most awesome costume party ever and only the totally cool people are like invited. You should totally feel special that you are invited cause that means you are totally cool. You have to like dress up for this or you won't be let in. This party is going to be the best party ever!

This costume party will be like so at my house on October 31, and yes it's halloween. Duh, why else would i have a costume party at my house in October??? I will be having a contest on who's costume is the best and there will be like sooooooo many awesome prizes so try your best! I can't tell you what the prizes are but they are so cool and it's a surprise. Don't worry about what it is anyway because I'm sure that everyone will look soooo cool that it will be so totally hard to figure out who is going to win.

This costume party is going to only the coolest New Wave music around. The costume party will have a dj and everyone will be dancing and having the most awesome time. The party starts at eight o'clock at my house and will be going on till the cops are called to shut down the party! I have the most epic party's ever, so don't miss it!

Maybe you were totally wodering what kind of food is going to be there?? Well of course I'm only going to have like the most awesome pizza, soda and chips there so don't worry about that. You can't get any better pizza then Ramos Pizza and you all totally know thats true. I'll have so much pizza there everyone can totally take some home with them after the party's over.

I This will be the most epic party that you have ever gone to, so don't totally screw it up by thinking you are cooler than me and not wearing a costume. If you are not dressed up you can't come in. You can't wear the normal monster, zombies and vampire costumes it is only prince and princesses. I totally want everyone to look good because there will be a lot of pictures posted on the internet.

So all my totally awesome friends that are invtied to the most epic party ever, I'll see you October 31 at eight p.m. and make sure you're wearing your costume! I totally plan on this party being talked about for ever, even told to your grandkids. I so think if you miss this costume party like you will be missing out on what the cool, people will be talking about so make sure you are there.

Open letter

Dear Cheap Tippers:

When a person is waitressing or bartending for you, that person works off the tips you give them. When is it good to be so cheap with the tips for another person? I have been in the service industry for fifteen years and a lot of people are really cheap. I hate when people sit down for two hours and then think it is O.K. to tip a person two dollars on a one hundred dollar tab, like they are doing me a favor.

Stop being so damn cheap on tips people live off the money you give them and they work hard for it. When I'm working a twelve hour shift and running around in circles for people, why would you think it is O.K. to tip barely nothing? Tipping nothing is just as rude and saying that my services were not worth that fifteen percent of your bill. I work hard for that tip and I don't get paid as much as you think hourly, if anything at all.

I have a family to support and how would I do that if everyone left a couple dollars or nothing at all on a tab. I have a kid to pay for and school to pay for. How would I be able to eat off your two dollar tip? I couldn't even buy my kid a happy meal with that tip.  Think about that person you are being cheap with and what they are going through and they have bills to pay, too!

I have bills and this isn't helping me one bit. I make a living bartending and it takes hard work of being nice to rude people, people getting drunk or even people that like to start fights in my bar. I can't pay my car insurance, phone bill, food or child care on people that tip me a couple dollars. If you go out be considerate or just stay home!

Obviously you need the money more than I do and that's why you're leaving such a cheap tip so you should just keep it because it's insulting. People have bad days every once and a while so don't take it out on your waitress, she didn't do it to you. When you complain to the waitress about your order it usually isn't the waitresses fault usually it's a problem with the kitchen, don't skip out on her tip because of something she has no control over. Why would you even leave such a small tip or even think that's O.K.?

Don't be a cheap tipper because people work hard for their money. Wait staff doesn't get paid more than four dollars a hour in most places and you leaving barely nothing doesn't help. If you leave such a crappy tip or none at all is just mean to do to a person. Don't go out to eat or drink if that's what you do all the time because you are doing nothing but making people to a lot of extra work for nothing!

Response To Betuel's Blog The way we communicate with media,digital and print has changed a lot of the past years. Betuel had a lot of good point in their blog "Digital vs Print Part Two" (Betuel) but i don't agree with everything that Betuel has written. Many people still and will always use print in their everyday life. Betuel's blog has a lot of good information on how digtial has evolved over the past couple years but I don't think digital will ever push out newspapers, magazines and books. I think people need to interact with each other face to face other r than Facebook, internet, and text messages. Betuel's says "smart phones, laptops and tablets are now ubiquitous as they seen to be the best way to connect" (Betuel). Social interaction is a good thing for people and that gets them out of the house. Sitting in front of a computer or phone all day just looking at Facebook and thinking that that is their friends when in reality they don't even know half the people. Books, newspapers and magazines turn yellow and fall apart. Betuel says "print does not age well" (Betuel). Print can't keep forever unless you really try hard to store it but that is not the case for most people. Many people just end up throwing the print out. Digital does last forever with the internet and all these electronic devices. Digital is getting more advanced every year. Betuel say "digital media is only going to evolve" (Betuel). I agree with that point because in the past ten years in has done nothing but get better and will keep doing do. Digital is everywhere, cafes, librairies and schools. You have hundreds of types of digital media you can play with. Evolving is not always good when digital media surpasses intelligence of more than half the population. I don't believe print will ever disappear. I love reading a good book, magazine or newspaper. I love having the books i read on my book shelf rather than my tablet. Betuel says"print material is still in use, it may not be kn the future if digital media continues to go the way it is" (Betuel). I see how it is easier to get everything on digital media instead of going out and engaging with people but that's not how it should be. Digital Verses Print

      Digital and print are used in everyone’s everyday life. Dan Blank makes plenty of good examples in “Why Digital is Better Than Print” and a lot of it makes sense. People use Digital a lot more in the past ten years rather than carrying around a book, a newspaper or going to the library. Digital makes a students life a ot easier, too. Digital is more useful than print because it is always there whenever you need it at the click of a button.
     Digital is easier with finding information rather than searching over and over at a library. Dan Blank says, “ Digital Finds Ways to Be Useful, Print Waits”(Blank). Digital is always easy to get to because most people have a phone, computer or a tablet. At a library a person can not look at anyone’s work when researching and with digital people can look at anyone’s writings from anywhere around the world. People are not subjected to what is right there on paper.
     With digital you are not wasting as much paper on books, magazines and newspapers. With a newspaper, a book or magazine the lifespan does not last long after the pages start getting ripped or something spills on it and than it goes into the garbage. Dan Blank says, “ The lifespan of a newspaper is incredibly short- just look at the trash bins at Penn Station in New York by 9:30am”(Blank). With digital you are not wasting as much paper on books, magazines and newspapers. When on a computer all a person has to do is just plug in and search. When a person does not want something from the internet all they would have to do is press delete and it is gone and no waste.
     With the internet people can get what they wrote to anyone all over the world rather than just a local bookstore. Dan Blank says, “Digital Empowers the Mass; Print Has Gatekeepers” (Blank). More people can look at a person’s wok by just typing in one word and if that has anything to do with their topic it will pop up for someone to read. Almost everyone uses the internet so it has made it a lot easier for writers to get their work out to the public in a shorter period of time.
     A person can find almost anyone on the internet from looking them up on Facebook and most of the time they are on if they know how to use a computer. Dan Blank says, “So many member if my family were holdouts on Facebook- refusing to even consider joining- UNTIL they realized that it was a portal to tons of family photos” (Blank). Looking at families photos on the internet from the other side of the country is a nice way to connect with people that have not seen each other in a while and makes people feel closer then they would with the occasional phone call on birthdays or holidays. Social media has opened a line of communication for a lot of people that have lost touch over the years. People also use the internet for finding love and many of these people have success.
     Digital has helped the world in so many ways. If a person writes something and want people to see their work, all that person has to do is put it on the internet for the world to see and hopefully the right person will see their work and love it. Digital has made it so people all over the world can connect and become familiar with each other. Digital has saved a lot of trees since they are not using paper as much for books. The older generation that swore of the internet are now the one’s on Facebook and Single pages meeting their loved ones.

My name is Jerusha and this is my first blog ever. I am 33 years old and I have a 1 year old. I went back to school so I could have a career because of my daughter. I am trying to get into the X-ray tech program so I was told I had to take English 101.
